This schedule is subject to change.
Some classes will be held in viewing rooms (like Room 225 or 229 or 107).
Check the door of Room 308 for updates.
Do you have a tech question? To prevent yourself from drowning in the deep dark tech pool, call up your tech-buddy. For tutorials go to Lynda.com - you can find her here.
For each due-date there are two items you will submit:
1) a written response to the assigned reading and
2) a link to your video/sound file (depending on the exercise)
Both the written responses and video/sound files are due at 11:59pm of the due-date. No exceptions. Your written response and the link to your video file (which you will have uploaded to the Youtube or Vimeo page you create for this class) must be included in a single email to me (dekew at illinois dot edu). DO NOT EMAIL YOUR VIDEO FILE TO ME. EMAIL THE LINK TO ME. The subject heading for your email should include the course number, the assignment number, and your name. It should look something like this: ARTS 443 Assgn. 4 Shayla Taylor. Of course if your name isn't Shayla Taylor you should probably put your name in there instead. Once in fourth grade, Charlie Hennessy copied somebody's test. Sadly, Charlie was so careful to copy everything, he copied the person's name too. I have no idea where Charlie is now. I don't even know if he's still alive. He might be dead. Ah. Yes. Just to repeat what I've written at the top of this paragraph... and I'll even put it in capital letters... letters that are bigger than the other letters... hell, I'll even make the letters bold:
BOTH THE WRITTEN RESPONSES & VIDEO FILES ARE DUE AT 11:59pm OF THE DUE-DATE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
REQUIREMENTS FOR WRITTEN RESPONSES
For each reading assignment, you need to write a minimum of 250 words in response to the reading. You can write as many words as you want, but know that you won't get any extra points for writing more than 250. On the other hand, I'd love to read what you've got to say. Here's what I suggest: read the assigned article/story. Then, with the reading fresh in your mind, write - as fast you can, full-on, stream-of-conscious - 250 words. Just type (or write) what comes out of your head. Be fast, be honest. You love it. You hate it. It bored you. You couldn't believe it. It reminded you of x. It made you think of y. You do NOT have to be all essay-ish and "smart." But you do have to write a minimum of 250 words and you do have to send it to me by 11:59pm on the due date.
